On Homeland Security: Sole Senate vote against Patriot Act

Russell Feingold was the only member of the Senate to vote against the USA PATRIOT Act. Coming as soon as it did after September 11, this vote held real political danger, as the act was at the time overwhelmingly supported by the public (though they may have had little idea what it actually contained).
